Our Process

We’ve designed our process to make your VA disability evaluation efficient, transparent, and supportive from start to finish. Every step is focused on helping you build the strongest, most evidence-based case possible — without unnecessary delays or confusion.

From your initial consultation to receiving your completed DBQ or Nexus Letter, most veterans complete the process within one week, depending on scheduling and record submission.

In-Depth Overview

We understand that taking the first step toward filing or strengthening your VA disability claim can feel overwhelming. That’s why our process begins with a simple conversation — not a commitment.

The phone consultation is your opportunity to learn how we can help, ask questions, and determine if we’re the right fit for your needs. During this 15-minute call, our Clinical Assistant will discuss your background, current challenges, and goals, helping you understand exactly what to expect moving forward.

If we agree to proceed, the next step is the Record Review. Before writing a DBQ or Nexus Letter, our team carefully examines your existing medical and military records, including (but not limited to) DD-214, C-File, VA rating decisions, prior DBQs, Nexus Letters, medical records, and lay statements. This ensures our evaluations are accurate, complete, and well-supported by documented evidence.

If we determine that there isn’t enough documentation to produce a comprehensive report, we will notify you immediately — so you don’t waste time or money pursuing an incomplete claim.

Once we have sufficient information, we schedule your evaluation appointment, typically lasting about one hour. You’ll meet with one of our expert providers and a medical scribe to ensure every detail is captured accurately. During this session, we explore the causes, symptoms, and impact of your condition — whether it’s related to PTSD, TBI, depression, anxiety, or other service-connected mental health challenges.

Within two business days, you’ll receive your completed DBQ and/or Nexus Letter, containing a detailed medical opinion and clear service connection narrative. These documents can be used to support your initial VA claim, a re-evaluation, or a request for an increased rating.

Our goal is simple: to make sure your voice is heard, your evidence is strong, and your service is honored through accurate, professional documentation that supports your right to the benefits you’ve earned.
